So apparently ant-eaters, sloths and armadillos are all part of a group of mammals called xenarthra (it means 'strange joints' ) and their origins can be traced back as far as 59 million years ago! I don't think xylophones are quite so old.
How to win
If you would like to win this little musician, just go to the comment section below and...
give the sloth a name
give the pic a caption (the funnier the better)
Get your entry in by midnight tonight (17/06/2018) and come back here tomorrow to see if you've won.
Good Luck!
...and the winner is Karen!
Being a sloth fan AND a Wham fan this caption is perfect to me. Xena will be off in the post to you on Friday.
Xenophobic Xara couldn’t have a foreign Xylophone,
So she got one in Ballyfermot off old Billy Malone.
Jeez! The competition is hot today 😁😁
Sylvester the sloth is slow and steady
He always has his xylophone ready
He hopes to play his music near and far
And become a slow motion rock star.
Michael Dervan of the Irish Times is raving about Xavier’s performance of John Cage’s 4’ 33”. “It’s beyond silence”, he claims.
As Harold slowly and painstakingly tapped out ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star’ he tried to ignore that his entire audience (of three) had fallen asleep. He plastered on a beaming smile and repeated his mantra: ‘slow and steady wins the race!’
